About Me

  • I am Inkyu An, an assistant professor in the Department of Software at Kookmin University. I received my bachelor’s degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Dongguk University, my master’s degree from the Robotics Program at KAIST, and my Ph.D. from the School of Computing at KAIST. My advisor during my master’s and Ph.D. studies was Prof. Sung-eui Yoon from the School of Computing at KAIST. After graduating from KAIST, I worked as a researcher at the Integrated Intelligence Research Section of ETRI.
  • My research interests include robot audition (sound source localization, speech separation, automatic speech recognition) and multimodal embodied AI. Ultimately, my goal is to enable robots to understand all real-world sensory information (vision, hearing, touch, etc.) and take appropriate actions accordingly.
